There are thousands of websites online that promise you that you can make thousands of dollars overnight from your own home based business.  Beware of all of them.  Anything that sounds to good to be true, usually is.  There are certain places that you can sign up with that do offer legitimate jobs. It just takes time, patience and a lot of research to find them.  If you are a free lance writer, there are a lot of companies that will hire you to submit articles, or blogs for them.  They will pay you for each accepted article.  Make sure your resume' is accurate and up to date.  Applying for an online job is just as exacting as if you were applying to a "live" person. Be honest about what kind of experience you have.  Data entry is another job that you can do online. It might take you awhile, but the companies that hire are out there. Consider a phone job, either customer service, outbound or inbound calling.  Register at a work at home website. There are several good ones found by doing a web search. Never pay any company to work for them. Never!  Legitimate companies will pay you, not the other way around. Taking surveys is another way to earn a bit of extra income.  It won't be much, but you can register at several companies, and earn a little spending money while you search for other work. As in any job, you must be qualified to do whatever it is you apply for. More and more companies are hiring workers who 'telecommute', or work from home. Don't get discouraged if you don't find something immediately.  Keep searching.
